Ipsy Glam Bag – June Edition –

Good Afternoon All!
Here we have the June edition of the Ipsy Glam Bag.
This months theme is loud and proud; a reminder to always speak your mind.
With summer pretty much upon us, let’s dive in and check out these awesome products!

Beaute Basics – Travel Face Blender In Light Pink
Beauty blenders are pretty much a blessing! Coming from someone with combination to dry skin, this little teardrop shaped sponge makes the worlds worth of difference when applying liquid foundation. I have used high end brushes in the past and always manage to create noticeable streak marks along my face. I find the beauty blender or triangle sponges create the most flawless “airbrushed” looking complexion. The shape alone allows for coverage in even those difficult spots like the edge of your nose or corner of your eyes.

How To Use It
Wet the blender, give it a squeeze, and use a towel to absorb any excess water. Add your fave cream formula to your hand (not directly to the blender!) and dab the sponge in it. Press (don’t sweep) into your skin in light bouncy motions.
Bonus tip: Make your summer makeup game super chill and instantly refreshing by running the blender under icy cold water before using.

Kokie Cosmetics Nail Polish
I must say I have been lucky enough to receive various different shades from different companies since the beginning of my subscription with Ipsy. Each shade has been more vibrant than the last and they all easily only need one coat which makes nail life that much easier! this shade is called “Atlantis at last.”  I can’t say that I have any colour of nail polish that resembles even close to this cobalt blue colour. Apparently this is an up and coming in season trend so looking forward to seeing if this colour is a hit or miss for myself.

How To Use It
1. Start with a drop of polish just above your cuticle.
2. Sweep in three strokes: center, left, then right.
3. Repeat with a second coat of polish (if necessary), then finish with top coat.

NYX Professional Makeup – Whipped Lip & Cheek Soufflé
First off, you can never go wrong with a two in one product!
I was really hoping for the “Cocoa Bean” shade as its more my style but I am for sure going to experiment with this “Plush” shade and see if I can make it work. I love NYX, especially their lip products so this is still another score in my points book.

How To Use It
For Lips:
1. Remove dry flakes by brushing your lips gently with a toothbrush.
2. Lips feeling dry? Start with a light layer of lip balm.
3. Line and fill in your lips with lip liner – think of this as your guide for the colour.
4. Define your Cupid’s Bow and lower lip line with the wand.
5. Fill in!
For Cheeks: 1. Smile! Apply to the apples of your cheeks with the wand.
2. Blend with your fingers or a beauty blender.

recovery cream

Dr. Lili Fan – Probiotic Recovery Cream
So you know how probiotics are good for your body internally?
Well, apparently they are just as great for you externally!
I have fallen absolutely in love with this product! It can be quite difficult to find a satisfying moisturizer when you have combination/dry skin.  This moisturizer is not even the slightest bit greasy and it gives off this stunning natural glow.

How To Use It
1. Always smooth in moisturizer in upward strokes.
(Pulling down on your skin can eventually lead to sagging. So…onward and upward, k?)
2. Don’t forget your neck and chest!
3. Add two drops of your favorite facial oil to your moisturizer for an extra boost of glow up hydration.

Make Up For Ever – Aqua XL Eye Pencil in M-10 Matte Black
So the real question here is, who doesn’t love eyeliner?!
I have recently experimented with a nude liner that I absolutely adore for days when I feel a little tired and need an eye catching boost. I also love this really neato green liner with a hint of shimmer that I apply to the far edges of my eyes only to make a really dramatic impression. I often find it difficult to acquire a really good quality black liner.
This product states to have a creamy formula that glides on with ease. Although this sounds promising, my main concern is will it actually stay on longer than a few blinks?!
Time will tell all!

How To Use It
1. Sparse lashes? Tightline your upper waterline to create a fuller-looking fringe.
2. Have trouble drawing a straight line (who doesn’t)? Draw little dots along your lash line, then connect them and magic—a smooth line.
3. Eyeliner won’t stay in your waterline? Start with a pencil liner, then top with a powder eye shadow in a matching color for extra staying power.

So there you have it, folks!
A really awesome month full of wonderful new products
to play with!
Until Next Time…

Xoxo, Dani Girl
